50 States

I have been to most of the states already, in fact, I think there are only a few that I haven’t been to. That said, I have over the last few months, been getting the urge to travel. And to appease the idiosyncrasies of my mind, rather than traveling abroad, I want to officially and systematically check off each state in one large project before I move on to other countries.

I know there is a list lover in you. For me, I have found that I am generally a productive person, but if you give me a goal with each of its facets listed in a presentable manner I feel as though I can do anything, because the elation I feel from checking off a task in a series of other tasks that make up a larger project is exhilarating! I know it sounds strange, but I love lists! And so I have started to utilize my strengths to accomplish projects, starting with this one!

This project is undoubtedly going to be amazing! But there is a larger purpose behind just driving through each state. This project kicks off an attempt to discipline my mind through creating and fulfilling personal projects that build myself and hopefully those around me. Learning to ones strengths is the way to do it. I will use my love of lists to finish this project and to bring to light other ideas that float around in my head ceaselessly. I am excited to build upon this thought.

I am going to keep a travel log and create videos and other sorts of content as I go. I’d love your support. Visit my YouTube channel, subscribe and visit often. Thanks!

Below is a list of goals that I want to accomplish for this project.

  • Set foot in all 50 US States.
  • Visit one major location in each state, such as: monuments, national parks, notable buildings, museums, etc.
  • Keep a daily travel log and post the entries to my website.
  • Create a weekly video to post to YouTube.
  • For my own love of the paranormal I have set out to also visit purportedly haunted locations throughout the States.
  • And finally: Visit LDS Church Historical sites.
